Engineering Technician, Polymer IRC

Role type: Mechanical/Manufacturing/Research. Engineering Faculty.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Engineering Technician to support research projects currently running in our Internationally leading Advanced Materials Research Centre.

You will employ your creative skills working in teams to solve problems relating to the design, manufacture and operation of manufacturing equipment, working on exciting new developments with a range of companies, national and International.

The requirements are: –

Significant ability within an EngineeringManufacturing environment or PolymerPlastics processing Plant. Relevant skills can include one or any combination of the following, Precision Machining, electronicelectrical skills, maintenance engineering and/or product manufacture.

A positive attitude in a challenging environment and a pro-active approach to problem solving.
A good understanding of computer systems (Microsoft Office or equivalent).

Full support where needed will be given to the right candidate and the opportunity to expand your skills with dedicated training.
