Maintenance Manager
Overview: Working alongside our client a leading injection moulding manufacturer, we are sourcing a Maintenance Manager to join their established team.

Remit:
- As an electrically bias Maintenance Manager you lead the maintenance department to ensure that all machinery is checked, maintained and serviced to ensure continuous and safe running to reduce incidents and breakdowns
- The successful Maintenance Manager will have experience working in a similar role, with working knowledge of injection moulding machines and pick and place robots
Role:
- Plan preventative maintenance schedule across the plant
- Responsible for carrying out and recording all planned, preventative maintenance for a wide range of manufacturing and plant equipment
- Undertaking fault finding activities on defective equipment
- Organising the timely repair of equipment including injection moulding machines, robotics and ancillary equipment
- Carrying out basic building and facilities maintenance, liaising with subcontractor for more complex or time consuming tasks
- Conducting PAT testing and updating digital records
- Producing monthly technical reports and making recommendations
- Supporting installation projects and equipment commissioning
- Maintaining and recording stock levels of shop floor machine spares as required
- Supporting installation projects and maintenance for customers of Premier Moulding Machinery where required
- Supervising and directing the Maintenance Engineer in their role and supporting their training and development
- Ensure Compliance with H&S legislation
Essential Requirements:
- Have previous working knowledge of injection moulding machines and pick and place robots
- Experience of working with pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems
- Qualified to carry out PAT tests
- Managerial/Supervisory experience and experience of training and mentoring a junior worker
- Intermediate user of Word and Excel
- Have a good awareness of health and safety in the workplace
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience of working in a similar maintenance role
- Experience of organising the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities
- Have ONC (or equivalent) in Engineering or related discipline
- Experience of working with PLC controlled machinery
- Experience with lean manufacturing techniques such as OEE,5s, Kaizen
- Experience of working with EFACS or similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software
