Service Engineer
Job Overview: Working alongside our client, a leading injection moulding manufacturer, we are looking a Maintenance Engineer to join their team to support continued business growth.

Remit:
- As a Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for maximizing machinery output and minimise plant downtime through effective preventative maintenance and efficient breakdown response whilst maintaining a safe and healthy environment and promoting good engineering practice
- Successful candidates will have a technical understating of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems for planning and troubleshooting, within a manufacturing environment
Responsibilities:
- Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance
- Attend breakdowns, identify faults and problem solve with minimum downtime to production
- Installing new production equipment
- Servicing, maintaining and repairing equipment
- Inspecting and assessing the functionality of production machines
- Obtaining specialist components, fixtures or fittings
- Maintaining statistical records
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation
- Assist in the development of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules
- Preparing and submitting maintenance reports
- Managing stocks of supplies and equipment
- Ensure that the business always maintains occupational health and safety standards along with ISO14001 Environmental requirements
Experience Requirements:
- Technical understating of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems for planning and troubleshooting
- A background in injection moulding manufacturing or the plastics industry would be desirable but not essential
- Proficiency operating modern maintenance technology
- Good verbal communication skills for scheduling maintenance tasks and ensuring job completion, even during emergencies
- Strong organisational skills for scheduling maintenance tasks as per maintenance schedule ensuring tasks are not overlooked and that minor site issues do not become major site issues
