Quality Manager
Job Overview: Working alongside our client, an established technical injection moulding manufacturer, we are looking for an experienced Quality Manager to join their team.
Role:
- As a Quality Manager you will play a key role in ensuring quality is upheld throughout the production facility, responsible for overseeing and implementing quality control measures, conducting audits, managing documentation and ensuring continuous improvement
- This role requires a strong understanding of quality management systems and a passion for ensuring products meet the highest standards

Responsibilities:
- Conduct internal audits (ISO 9001 & IATF16949)
- Host and participate in 3rd party & customer audits (ISO 9001, IATF, VDA, Customer Specific)
- Develop Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documents
- Create FMEA, Control Plans, and Measurement System Analysis (MSA) for variables & attributes
- Create process flowcharts
- Manage and respond to customer complaints (root cause analysis, 8D problem-solving)
- Manage supplier quality
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Inspect parts, identify faults, and make decisions on disposition
- Use various measuring instruments (Vernier, micrometer gauge, Faro arm, laser & probe)
- Oversee calibration procedures
- Attend Gauge R&R (GR&R) reviews
- Maintain accurate records and manage document control, use MS Office Suite (particularly Excel) for data analysis
- Participate in Management Review meetings
- Prepare Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and assist others
- Manage and develop a Quality Engineer and QC Inspector as part of the Quality team
Requirements:
- Proven experience of quality engineering / management within manufacturing
- A recognised technical qualification, Degree, HND or similar
- Knowledge of injection moulding processes would be beneficial but not essential
- Experience of working with quality management systems and processes (ISO9001 & IATF16949)
- Experience in the operation of technical measuring equipment
- Experienced in the use of quality tools – FMEA, PPA, MSA, Control plans
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Good people management skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage own workload
- Flexible and able to react to changing customer requirements
