Technical Sales Manager
Overview: Working exclusively with our client, a well established Group of Injection Moulding Companies, we are looking for a Technical Sales Manager with experience in the injection moulding industry to support and drive continued business growth.
Remit:
- Candidates MUST HAVE proven experience within injection mould toolmaking and / or injection moulding processes
- This position will suit an experienced Sales / BD Manager who is highly motivated to sell the company’s injection moulding services across various market sectors

Role:
- As Technical Sales Manager you will promote and conclude sales of the company’s products and services within the UK and Ireland
- In the role of Technical Sales Manager you will establish continuous dialogue with customers to maintain current partnerships and customer care philosophy
- To achieve the personal annual forecast, growing the business year on year
- Prepare quotations relative to enquiries generated, requesting support from strategic functions to achieve this when required
- Ensure all enquiries and quotations are followed up promptly, establishing a potential conversion percentage via pipeline overview
- Ensure the enquiry database for accounts/quotations is maintained, requesting support from strategic functions to achieve this when required
- Being proactive in providing positive responses to the day-to-day challenges that arise, seeking solutions rather than highlighting problems, ensuring customer requirements are the main focus
- Prepare sales presentations, forecasts, and information as required by the business
- To ensure sales schedules are maintained which comprehensively and accurately underpin the Sales budget and targets
- To act as a Management Team Member, supporting fellow managers by clear honest communication and functional achievements
- Ensure the alignment of sales strategy and technical support is achieved and maintained across the Group, consulting with your colleagues at the relevant site to achieve this
- To keep abreast of developments within the industry and ensure a sound knowledge and application of requirements within the business with respect to received market intelligence and customer feedback
- Manage the sales and technical support activity within the business to deliver the service expected by the customer
- Maintaining and managing inhouse CRM system, to include pipeline sales
- Reporting progress against plan at monthly management review meetings
- On occasions, sales visits may need to be made outside of the specified area at the discretion of the Managing Director
Experience Requirements:
- Recognised Engineering / Manufacturing or Polymer Education Qualifications
- Proven experience within injection mould toolmaking and / or injection moulding processes
- Experience within a Technical Sales / BDM capacity
- Good commercial skills
- Highly self motivated
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
