Remit:

• This position will suit a skilled Injection Moulding Setter / Technician who is looking to continue their own personal development and career progression
• Candidates MUST HAVE demonstrable experience within injection moulding manufacturing with the ability to set, condition and optimise injection moulding machines

Role:

• As injection moulding setter you will fit and set both insert and full tools to our range of moulding machines
• You will ensure zero moulding defects or reworks
• Ensure cycle rates are achieved or exceeded Carry out cleaning of the machines to ensure 100% uptime
• You will complete first off inspection of parts
• You will be expected to do basic maintenance and cleaning of tools before, after or during production runs keep a tidy and safe working environment
• Operate up to 5 machines when required when machine setting is not required
• As Injection Moulding Setter you will be accountable for setting up injection moulding machinery to first off standard, ensuring use of set process
• In the role of Injection Moulding Setter you will monitor injection moulding process to include condition setting, ensuring product quality and reliability
• Ensure all mould tooling is maintained to a high standard, liaising with the tooling department when faults are identified to ensure rectification ensuring schedules are adhered to

 

Experience Requirements:

• Industry recognised injection moulding qualifications
• Demonstrable experience within injection moulding manufacturing
• Knowledge of engineering polymers and the optimisation and processing of these materials
• Experience of setting mould machines between 35 to 200 tons (ideally Arburg)
• Experience in multi cavity, hot runner and hot tip systems
• A positive can-do attitude Good communication and people skills
• Leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
• Strong attention to detail
• Reliable and flexible, self motivated and enthusiastic
• Continuous improvement mindset
