Thermoforming Setter X2

Overview: Working alongside our client, a successful manufacturer of plastic packaging solutions, we are looking for 2x Thermoforming Setters to join their team and support continued business growth

 

Remit:

• Fantastic opportunity for a skilled Thermoforming Setter to join a forward thinking business with a track record of investment in their personnel, machinery and tooling
• This position will suit a Thermoforming Setter with demonstrable experience of setting, conditioning and process optimization of thermoforming machines
• This role requires good technical knowledge of thermoforming processes and the ability to troubleshoot any issues as they arise.

 

Role:

• As Thermoforming Setter you will be responsible for the setup and running of the tooling on the thermoforming machine lines and ancillary equipment
• In the role of Thermoforming Setter you will ensure the continuous running of machinery at the optimum cycle time to produce quality products
• Set tooling and production changeovers in line with the production plan and within targets
• Assist with the pre-production tool inspections & routine tooling maintenance
• Identify production, tool & machine issues that may impact performance including product quality defects then make recommendations to rectify the same
• After training commission new tooling and optimize line speeds
• Provide training and guidance to ensure that all employees understand their roles and perform them effectively
• Maintain documentation of quality records and production metrics
• Enforce safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries
• Communicate effectively with colleagues including Maintenance, Tooling, Shift Managers / Supervisors and other departments

 

Experience Requirements:

• MUST HAVE proven experience in thermoforming with at least 3 years’ experience setting tooling
• Strong technical knowledge of thermoforming processes and equipment
• Experience within FMCG manufacturing environment
• Ability to multitask and prioritise workload in a fast paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production management software
• Experience of quality management system BRC / ISO or similar
• Lean manufacturing experience
