Sales & Operations Manager
Position Overview: We are initially looking for a dynamic and commercial Sales / Operations Manager with strong knowledge of the thermoforming plastics industry to focus on Sales & Marketing. The successful candidate will be a key driver of this group during an exciting period for sustainable growth, promoting current business & commercial strengths in leading an established thermoforming manufacturer with the goal of taking over day-to-day operations as the current MD starts to plan his retirement.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Management: work closely with the current Managing Director to develop a sales strategy to achieve organisational sales goals and revenues. Responsible for achieving sales budget and managing expenses, as well as investigating all sales attrition and developing strong relationships with new customers.
Technical Engineering: work closely with the Engineering team to oversee technical machine specifications to meet bespoke client requirements, fostering a culture of continuous improvement to ensure the business meets the future technical and service requirements of the customer base whilst preserving margins
Production Oversight: driving high performance across the production team and overseeing production to ensure timely delivery of machines, oversee customer testing and coordinate final shipment. Identify new potential outsourced production partners to control costs while meeting production goals and maintaining high-quality standards. Analysing performance, productivity and deliverables data and preparing reporting, identifying improvement opportunities
Qualifications:
15+ years in the plastics industry, ideally in thermoforming.
Experience in Sales and Operations.
Knowledge of UK, European and Middle Eastern markets.
