Company Overview:

Listgrove have been retained by an existing client who are the leading providers of innovative technologies and components for plastic extrusion. Their highly specialized business units provide advanced solutions to customers around the world and enable them to produce blown films, cast films, sheets, and nonwovens of the highest quality.

Role Overview:

As a Technical Sales Manager, you will be responsible for selling solutions in their cast, sheet and coating flat film lines to customers across the USA and Canada. Your sole responsibility will be to identify new opportunities and acquire customers within the plastics industry, you will gain knowledge in relation to future market needs and develop strategies for new distribution channels.

  • Initial point of contact for customers, you will both acquire new business and manage assigned existing accounts.
  • Able to present the complete product portfolio which fit an array of market applications that meet both present and future needs, for example moving towards circular economy and sustainability.
  • Managing customer projects and pairing solutions with customer requirements in a bespoke offering, you will manage negotiations and close deals.
  • Advising customers in relation to technical discussions, working in collaboration with the international team of product managers and technical customer support.
  • Utilizing knowledge in industry and technological developments in the field of circular economy, you will be able to suggest new ideas for the development of the product range.

Candidate Profile:

You would consider yourself to be an enthusiastic individual with a natural flair and passion for sales. A natural interest in the sale of complex capital goods and you enjoy building strong professional relationships.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset and has an interest in working across cultures.
  • Able and willing to work in the field, travelling to customer sites across the USA and Canada – (three times per week)
  • Has prior experience within negotiation, a strong communication and has good customer service skills.
  • Possess high levels of self-motivation and would consider yourself to be organized and enjoy working in a structured way.
  • Ideally has worked with Salesforce, for preparation and follow-up of customer appointments.
