The Client:

Part of a large trading & investment group, our client is an innovator in adhesive technology –
developing customized high-performance applications, primarily used for tapes and labels, for a range of consumer and industrial markets.
To complement their successful business growth and expanding team, the business are looking for a Technical Sales & Product Manager.

The Role:

⦁ Under the supervision of the Managing Director, identify and develop new business opportunities in the field of formulated adhesives, sealants and coatings.
⦁ Research and analyze relevant markets and companies to identify opportunities in line with business strategy and set up prioritized action plans to grasp the opportunities.
⦁ Take initiative and drive projects for the development of new custom formulated adhesive products to commercialization
⦁ Taking the role of main customer contact and working with business Technical Department, external development partners and colleagues and beyond as needed.
⦁ Prepare and implement business plans including mid-term budget with defined timelines and milestones.
⦁ Prepare a monthly progress report for Management in consultation with Managing Director.

Person Specification:

⦁ Degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Polymer Science or a similar science discipline
⦁ Extensive experience working in a customer-facing technical sales or business development environment in a relevant industry (adhesives, coatings, sealants).
⦁ Experience in an R&D or product development in a relevant industry (adhesives, coatings, sealants)
⦁ Knowledge of key applications and formulation development in the field of hot melt and/or pressure sensitive adhesives is required
⦁ A bright and energetic professional, with a flexible approach who enjoys a demanding office environment and works well under pressure.
⦁ Well-organized with the ability to prioritize and use initiative, able to shift priorities within strict timeframes.
⦁ An excellent team-player able to guide and motivate a multi-national cross department virtual team.
⦁ A good verbal and written communicator, able to analyze and communicate complex information effectively at all levels.
⦁ Good numerical and analytical skills with experience of financial statement analysis and market analysis.
⦁ Good language skills. Fluency in English is essential, other European language skills advantageous.
⦁ Strong IT skills, including using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
