The Client:

A market leader within the field of PVC based polymers. The business manufactures a comprehensive range of liquid plastisol and dispersion systems, which is complemented by their Speciality Distribution business, supplying plasticisers, resins, and PVC additives.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for the management and development of B2B sales. Focusing on all commercial business aspects and opportunities, you will maintain and further develop positive customer relationships and provide an unrivalled customer experience.

The Role:

⦁ Managing the commercial relationship and development of specific customers within the business network, in order to retain the existing portfolio.
⦁ Develop key customer relationships, together with attracting and building on these relationships to maximise sales growth.
⦁ Support the Managing Director in negotiations, ensuring that both the Operational needs and costs are met and that the customer needs and expectations are supported.
⦁ Coordinate and chair review meetings with existing customers, ensuring strong relationships are built and sustained produce and publish visit reports.
⦁ Support the budget management process by providing input into business annual planning
⦁ Ensure the delivery of financial KPI’s in relation to volume, sales and profit through a joint company and business plan, as well as collaborative forecasting.
⦁ Provide Input to commercial strategy programmes and innovation solutions, as well as budget planning in support of relevant projects and new business acquisition.
⦁ Delivery of high-quality service relations with internal and external stakeholders. The provision of timely and accurate commercial management information.

The Person:

⦁ The ideal candidate will be required to demonstrate a successful track record within the PVC or associated industry of at least 5 years and will be ideally located within the North West of England.
⦁ Knowledge of PVC, Plastisol’s, PU, Polymers or polymer additives
⦁ Sales management experience within a relevant commercial environment, with experience of manufacturing & distribution.
⦁ Networking, interpersonal, relationship building & stakeholder management skills.
⦁ High levels of commercial awareness and an astute eye for identifying commercial opportunities.
⦁ Analytical and good with data; including, sales and marketing trends, benchmarking, joint business plans, P&L management, and forecasting.
⦁ Creative and strategic thinker, able to challenge established ways of doing things
⦁ Must be a team player with a strong aspiration for career development.
⦁ An experienced user of digital marketing and brand management with the ability to operate media platforms.
⦁ Advanced user of CRM to manage interactions with customers and potential customers.
⦁ Understanding of a regulated & compliance needs business.
⦁ Ability to travel within the UK & Worldwide.
