A new role has been created to take responsibility for the external sales teams across their Sudbury and Harlow distribution centres. Primary role:

Manage, coach and develop external sales teams, ensuring sales activities are maximised, and the Regional Sales and Profit targets are achieved and exceeded. Responsible for setting and monitoring all individual and team targets, full performance management and development to include coaching and training. Ensuring the highest standards of account management and new business sales at all times. Reports directly into Regional Business Manager but with dotted reporting line to Regional Sales Director. Works closely with local Sales Office Manager/Coordinators, Purchasing & Logistics Team

Person profile:

Well established experience of managing external sales teams
Strong nurturing leadership style with experience of coaching, training and development
Credible sales track record straddling both new business sales and account management
Experienced in strategic sales planning, with ability to effectively forecast
Experience of working with a sales distribution organisation
Strong communication skills (verbal & written)
Ability to handle matters with sensitivity, diplomacy and integrity
Strong IT skills (including intermediate Excel), MS Office, Internet & CRM systems
Strong numeric, analysis & data interpretation ability
