Reporting into: UK Sales Director

 

Role Overview:

As a Product Manager you will help define the long-term strategic goal for a defined product range that sits within a larger portfolio of injection moulding products. The role includes building key customer relationships, identifying business opportunities, negotiating and closing business as well as the logistical and marketing aspects of product management.
He/she will be required to make presentations on solutions, demonstrate technical products and move qualified leads through the sales pipeline to procurement and delivery of products to enable growth for this specific product.
You will work with the internal/external teams, marketing staff, and other personnel to increase sales opportunities and thereby maximize revenue and market penetration for the organization.

 

New Business Development / Product Management:

· Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.
· Plan calls as appropriate within the UK /Irish market to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
· Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization.
· Research and build relationships with new clients.
· Work to develop proposals that speak to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.
· Participate in pricing and quoting the solution.
· Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the products unique selling propositions and differentiators.
· Collaborate with the machine sales team to develop strategies for reaching sales targets
· Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion.
· Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships

 

Management and Research:

· Submit progress reports and ensure the data is accurate.
· Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company’s CRM or other sales management system.
· Track sales against targets.

 

Logistics:

· Manage incoming orders and the procurement of products with the parent company and oversee the delivery and if necessary, the installation of units as required
· Manage unit inventory and loan / trial units accurately preparing loan agreements where necessary
