The Company:

Our client is part of a long standing global leader in the development and implementation of process technologies, with a focus on innovation that has resulted in more than 150 technologies and 4,100 patents and patent applications.  This role involves working withing their polymers business unit that specializes in providing sustainable licensing and catalyst solutions for LDPE, HDPE and EVA technologies.

 

Primary Role:

The Polyethylene Technologies Commercialisation Manager is responsible for developing the overall strategy for the designated technology (HDPE and LDPE/EVA) in collaboration with Sales, Technology Management, Operations and R&D based on a dynamic strategic analysis. While focusing on the needs of the market and our customers, the objective is to derive the key actions and their owners among the various Divisions to be implemented to secure success and profitability of the Polymers Business Unit.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure successful transfer of newly acquired technologies or the ones from cooperation partners into our system covering all divisions and fields relevant for Technology sale and promotion (Marketing materials, Commercial and Technical offer development, Intellectual Property aspects, Process Design Package preparation, Lifecycle services)
  • Perform strategic analysis, e.g. SWOT Analysis, fed by all stakeholders of the Polymers BU and derive strategic actions to be performed to secure company success and profitability, including sales/prospection actions, marketing plan preparation, technical developments and partnerships, business model development, sustainability strategy
  • Ensure homogeneity and timely completion of the strategic actions and commercial practices across the various geographical regions
  • Define strategy for key bids preparation in collaboration with Technology Management
  • Support key stakeholders involved in the sales process
  • Support Marketing documents preparation and manage company brand through Sales & Marketing synergy
  • Develop general elevating sales messages (micro to macro)
  • Support Technology Management in commercial aspects of partnerships/alliances
  • Be referent on marketing related topics for Polyethylene technologies

 

Qualifications:

  • Relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Chemical Engineering

 

Candidate Profile:

  • Experienced in sales of catalyst, licenses and services on the key markets
  • Enhanced knowledge/experience in Polyethylene technologies
  • Excellent knowledge of value proposition and offer
  • Balance of strong technical and commercial capabilities
  • Proficient in sales techniques, negotiation, and skilled in network animation
  • Autonomous while undertaking and pursuing actions
  • Entrepreneurial and team spirit, creativity and excellent interpersonal skills
  • High degree of self-motivation and energy, strong self-management skills
  • Long-term view, stamina and patience
  • Able to manage multicultural environment while displaying transversal management skills
