Reporting into: Regional Sales Manager

Company Overview:

Founded in 1937, operating with twenty-five manufacturing facilities in eight-teen locations, with four R&D centres. The hiring company operates within the plastics industry, manufacturing a wide selection of masterbatch products which fit into many market sectors and applications. Partnered with suppliers and customers they create masterbatch formulations.

Role Overview:

Working within a team of internal sales and customer service representatives in a business-to-business sales environment. Coordinating sales activities internally and supporting external teams, working towards shared sales targets.

  • Generate new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls.
  • Research accounts, determine targets and generate interest by sales activities.
  • Provide product samples to new and existing customers to drive customer retention.
  • Ensure a high level of contact with customers and selected distributors.
  • Assessing customers’ needs within the market and appropriately directing resources
  • Receive and respond to new enquiries.
  • Prepare and follow up price quotations for new business.
  • Working collaboratively and providing support to external sales managers as well as internal teams.

Desired Skills and Characteristics:

  • Good commercial knowledge and a passion for sales and/or customer service.
  • Possesses a high level of accuracy and is willing to investigate and solve problems.
  • Excellent communicator and confident in your approach.
  • Someone who is curious, hands-on and adaptable, who would like to learn and enhance their current skillset.
  • Excellent customer service skills and is customer orientated.
  • Someone with a desire to work in a sales environment.
