Maintenance Manager
Based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maintenance or Engineering Manager to join an established and successful business.

Objectives:

· Responsible for satisfying customer needs by producing the scheduled requirements for company products in the most effective way and to agreed quality standards whilst maintaining high standards of workmanship, reliability, efficiency, cleanliness and safety.

Tasks and Duties:

· Ensure that company policies and procedures for Housekeeping, Health & safety and Quality are fully met.
· Maintain close control of performance, efficiency and operating costs.
· Assign tasks to sub-ordinates according to work priorities.
· Ensure production schedule is maintained at all times.
· Ensure that all breakdowns and equipment defects are reported and followed up according to company procedures.
· Investigate reported problems thoroughly and ensure that corrective actions solve the problem not the symptom.
· Liaise and cooperate with maintenance manager to ensure that scheduled improvement and maintenance work is completed satisfactorily and on time.
· Schedule own work in line with agreed priorities.
· Maintain manufacturing departments, workshops and storage areas in a clean, organized and safe manner at all times.
· Continuously seek ways and means of improving departmental performance.
· Apply statistical methods to analyze performance, identify problems and develop solutions.
· Mange, motivate and direct staff and ensure that their performance is of the highest standard at all times and that they follow company policy and their job descriptions.
· Maintain accurate records of production, quality and maintenance problems.
· Report on departmental activities in an agreed format and timely manner.
· Recommend replacement of unreliable and inefficient equipment.
· Liaise and cooperate with client departments.
· Be available to attend emergencies outside normal working hours.
· Train and develop subordinates in accordance with company policies and procedures.
· Work effectively with the multi-cultural workforce.
· Read specialist journals and attend training courses and to keep up to date with the latest developments and trends in technology, materials and manufacturing management.
· Carry out similar or related works as directed by his immediate Supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience:

· B. Sc. degree in polymer, production or industrial engineering.
· Minimum 5 years practical experience of the extrusion and compounding processes and the materials and tools used by the company.
· Strong production management ability.
· Ability to work under pressure and manage several tasks at once.
· Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels.
· Ability to make quick, clear decisions
· Ability to make effective presentations.
· Organized, able to prioritize and work to deadlines.
· Computer literate, MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
· Ability to delegate duties where necessary.
· Good analytical skills
· Ability to work flexibly.
· Good standard of spoken and written English.
· Excellent team working skills.
· Ability to train and develop staff
· A practical and logical approach to problem solving using problem solving techniques.
· Committed to continuous improvement.
· Ability to manage personal time effectively.
· Ability to enjoy challenges and the determination to overcome problems.
