The Company:
The hiring company operates within the plastics industry, manufacturing a wide selection of masterbatch products which fit into many market sectors and applications. Partnered with suppliers and customers they bring forward-thinking solutions to that increase product performance, durability and sustainability.
Founded in 1937, operating with twenty-five manufacturing facilities in eighteen locations, with four R&D centres.
The Role:
Reporting to the Plant Manager and functionally to the Human Resources Director Europe, the Human Resources Manager is an experienced HR professional, responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management. The position is a stand-alone position, with no people management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Manage the entire recruitment process, in collaboration with business departments.
· Manage the outsourced payroll process and sign off the benefits programs.
· Supervise the management of performance evaluation and employees’ competencies.
· Develop learning and development budget proposal and supervise the establishment of subsidies files, as well as the relative administrative part.
· Manage employees’ integration and development.
· Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues.
· Ensure legal compliance, regulations and working conditions regarding health and safety.
· Advise Management on legislation and changes that may impact local Human Resources policies.
· Negotiate with the Trade Unions.
· Optimize manual tasks and implement HR policies and procedures.
· Work on other specific projects.
Profile:
· Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business management.
· Demonstrable experience in a similar role in the manufacturing sector in Italy.
· Hands-on approach with in-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
· Strong experience in payroll processing.
· Interpersonal and coaching skills.
· Client-oriented and results-oriented with a hands-on approach.
· Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
· Confidentiality, discretion and judgment.
· Analytical and problem solving skills.
· Ability to think outside the box.
· Fluent Italian and English.
