Client overview:
A private limited company specializing in the manufacture of man-made fibers, particularly high-performance monofilaments. Established in the 80s the company has over three decades of experience in polymer extrusion and fiber technology.
Role Overview:
The Sales Manager’s primary responsibility is to develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers in a range of industries within designated territory, the main focus is EU with 80% of business conducted with clients there, 20% will be in the UK with a small amount in Asia.
This position is responsible for meeting quotas to deliver sales goals and profitability, consistently providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
· Hold commercial responsibility for the UK, Europe, and selected Asian accounts, with travel as required.
· Lead project-based sales activities, ensuring customer needs are met throughout all project stages.
· Manage a global distribution network, including monthly business reviews and performance monitoring.
· Provide tailored product recommendations and prepare quotations.
· Deliver accurate sales and volume forecasts (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually).
· Align with supply chain, production and logistics to fulfil customer requirements and business targets.
· Conduct reviews of customer complaints, ensuring prompt analysis, corrective action implementation and resolution – including compensation negotiations where necessary.
· Report to senior management on account activity, including forecasting, call reports, and business development progress.
· Prepare and monitor the annual business plan that is aligned with corporate growth strategy.
Person Specification:
· Proven B2B sales.
· Sales experience with synthetic fibres or plastics.
· Detail oriented.
· Self-motivated to succeed and complete tasks to a high standard.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills.
· Proficiency in the Microsoft Office.
· Willingness to travel into Europe (ideally conducting 30 visits per year)
