Client Overview:

Part of a global group, the company is a European specialty plastic resins producer with more than 50 years’ experience in the development and supply of specialty polyolefins.

Role Overview:

Reporting to the Sales Director, the Sales Manager Europe will be responsible for the growth and development of the business portfolio in the Flexible Packaging sector across Europe.

Responsibilities:

· To produce a budget once a year on the whole product range on volume & margin basis.

· To collect quarterly customers’ data, revise when necessary and update info to the Sales director, who will approve figures. The Sales Manager is responsible to assure the best accuracy between forecast and actual sales.

· To implement the company’s marketing objectives in the assigned area of responsibility discussed with the Sales director by dealing with his customers establishing and reinforcing their partnerships.
– Analyse current sales and optimise product offer including price policy adapted to each account.
– Pursue new developments and lead them in coordination with other functions such as ie technical, business staff.
– Do the actual benchmark by product, by customer and by application.
– Define a clear sales strategy on the assigned accounts to achieve our targets.
– Regular contact with customers to discuss volumes, prices, logistics, discuss new developments and build up long term relationships.
– Monitor the competitor’s activity & analyse major changes in their policies prevent/respond to their actions.
– Conduct annual contract negotiations with customers according when applicable.
– Support of market surveys.

· To make a visit report in Salesforce.com for each call/visit which should include all the relevant information and actions. Visit reports are also forwarded for the attention of the Sales director EMEA, Business Managers & Development Managers. The Sales Manager has then to resume figures & full market information monthly in the Monthly Functional Polymers Sales Report and share through salesforce.com.

· To manage all existing credit lines in the territory & adapt them to actual customers conditions. SM does his/her best to make sure the company receives customers payments in due time and optimize related working capital.

· To timely manage the customer claims in due time contributing with his best efforts to a positive claim resolution.

Candidate Profile:

· Strong commercial background in Polymers (mainly PP and PE).
· Sales experience as Sales Manager or Account manager (>5 years) within complex organizations.
· Excellent negotiator, able to deal with senior executive level, good knowledge of strategic selling tactics.
· Proven ability to work within a complex organization.
· High focus of product margins and sales volume optimization as well as high reactivity and the ability to adapt quickly and efficiently to a fast dynamic and changing market
· Excellent English required, Spanish is mandatory and a third European language a plus.
· Proven tracks of positive records along his/her career
· Travel internationally, across Europe and further afield when needed.
