Listgrove has been tasked by our client to recruit an Area Sales Manager within the UK.

Job Holder’s Profile:

The ideal candidate will be an individual who has sold packaging materials or products into the food, beverage, FMCG or chemical sectors. This could be products such as labels, pallets, containers, bottles, flexible films, cartons.
You should have strong connections within your customers, which will enable a smooth introduction for the company and result in opportunities to offer material trials.
Technical support on the specifics of the stretch films, can be provided by other individuals within the global team.

Job Purpose:

The role’s primary responsibility is to drive sales volumes & revenue profitability targets, through the development new business within the distribution network and into end customer accounts, which can grow to a level where they are receiving over 40 tonnes of material per year.
This will be done through creating effective partnerships & relationships and by demonstrating a technical understanding of materials, equipment and process.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Responsible for the successful management and business development of distributors & key accounts on the geographies & industries that he /she operates.
· To cultivate relationships, develop and penetrate new key accounts in your area of responsibility.
· Provide specialised input on their associated markets / geographies (i.e. on market structure / trends / development, competition, pricing schemes, entry barriers etc.)
· Identifies promotional, marketing & market penetration actions (such as participation in events, fairs, exhibitions, conferences, digital marketing actions, etc.) and communicates them to the Managing Director.
· Capable of conducting product trials and tests in end customers to demonstrate the value of the company’s products.
· Ability to communicate to large groups of distributor staff, confident presenter.
· Capacity to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel at both end customers and distributors.
· Overviews the implementation of commercial development actions, including visitations to selected customers in order to promote company products and achieve sales targets
· Prepares the required reporting documentation on sales performance & actual vs targeted sales targets.
· Implements all actions regarding the development of detailed sales forecasting, as well as the generation, evaluation, communication and continuous review & refinement of demand planning figures for their sales area.
· Ensures the entry & registering of relevant data / information from their sales activities (i.e. client information, site visits success, responsiveness / client closing progress, etc.) onto the company’s CRM system to enhance dissemination & utilization of information.
· Implements, manages and provides support in an ad-hoc basis following requests and assignments from the Managing Director
