Salary: To be revised: 90,000 – 120,000 Euros per annum

 

Company Overview:

Founded in 1926, our client is a pioneering chemical manufacturer specializing in the production of specialty chemicals, polymers and synthetic microfibers. Due to its own technological advances, the company has expanded into 31 countries worldwide.

 

Role Overview:

As an Internal Auditor for a large chemical company, you will work domestically and internationally. When working locally you will report to the Managing Director of Europe, when working Globally you will be known as the Regional Head of Internal Auditing, reporting to the General Manager for global corporate auditing.

·       Reporting an annual risk assessment in accordance with the J-SOX standard, taking appropriate action to ensure all functions within the company are monitored to ensure effective internal control systems are in place.

·       Identify risks and vulnerabilities in business processes and develop strategies to mitigate risk.

·       Audit business processes and financial reports of all companies within the corporate group, including subsidiaries within Europe, in accordance with the global internal audit system and company instructions.

·       As part of the above tasks, your task is to support management in optimizing processes, increasing efficiency and achieving strategic goals, whilst making informed recommendations to improve the business.

·       Carry out regular communication with management both domestically and internationally, discussing audit results and working together to find solutions.

 

 

Candidate Profile:

·       Holds a completed master’s degree in business administration, Economics, Auditing or a relatable.

·       Willing to travel up to 80% of the time, realistically, 20-40%.

·       Experienced in audit processes with 5 years of professional experience in internal or external auditing.

·       Knowledge of international financial reporting standards (IFRS).

·       Has experience in the design, implementation and evaluation of internal control systems.

·       Knowledge of testing methods such as COSO and COBIT as examples.

·       Prior experience with legal requirements such as J-SOX, GDPR.

·       Possess language skills in both German and English – fluent, and an understanding of French or Spanish would be of an advantage but not necessary.

·       Consider yourself to be an analytical thinker who has strong communication skills and a sense of teamwork, this could be the opportunity for you.
