Key Account Manager

Key Account Manager – Automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers

Possible location: geographical area Strasbourg/Stuttgart/Frankfurt/Cologne or Slovakia (near Bratislava).

The client:

A global market leader developing and converting adhesives and polymers for automotive, medical devices and general industry.

The role:

· Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Manager for the automotive market, you will be responsible for the development of the German market and will be the main contact for the technical teams of your customers on their sites.
· You will be involved in the development of the product portfolio which includes foam and thermoplastics water shield, die-cut pieces and joints (both thin and thick), roof Stiffeners, technical labels, decorative parts, adhesive solutions, damping material together with your key customers (mainly OEMs and 1st tiers).
· You will be in direct contact with customers (design & purchasing department, production – assembly, etc.) to promote the company’s products, identify opportunities, obtain specifications, and pass on all useful information to draw up offers.
· Together with the sales manager, you ensure a good communication with the technical teams of the different European sites based in France, Slovakia, and Spain.
· You will coordinate product development projects with the ADHEX development department and liaise with the customer until the products are launched in series.
· You are forced of proposal with the customer but also within the teams to succeed in the development of new products.

Candidate profile (Education, Experience, Skills):

· Higher technical diploma or equivalent required
· Minimum 5 years of work experience in a technical-sales function in an industrial environment in connection with German OEMs.
· Work experience with Microsoft Office and other business-related applications in a work environment
· German (native or bilingual) and English fluent; any additional languages are an advantage.
· Self-motivated and self-directed.
· Ability to adapt to a variety of interlocutors.
· Customer focus and technical curiosity.
