Role Overview:
A world renown manufacturing group is seeking a strategic HR leader to join its dynamic, growing global company as the VP, Global HR, for its Molding Solutions business. As part of the leadership team of our two global business segments, your role is to lead the full complement of Human Resource activities for approximately 2000 manufacturing, sales, technical and professional employees who comprise the organization in countries around the world. If you are a global human resources leader with a proven track record of being a proactive, energized and effective business partner with a track record of creating and cultivating a high-performance global HR team and organization that consistently delivers on its commitments and supports the business in generating sustainable profitable growth, you may be an excellent candidate to join the team.
Responsibilities:
· Serve as a key member of the Molding Solutions’ (MS) core leadership team, collaborating and contributing to the development, implementation, and execution of MS’ vision and growth strategy.
· Effectively translate the strategic and tactical business plans into strategic and HR operational plans to support the business in achieving profitable, sustainable growth. This role will be instrumental in facilitating organizational effectiveness to support delivering Top Line, Bottom Line and Pipeline growth through core business execution.
· Lead all aspects of the Human Resources and Talent Management System (TMS) to facilitate business and organizational effectiveness across the Molding Solutions strategic business sites worldwide.
· Leverage the full suite of the Companies Talent Management System (TMS), effectively implementing highly effective and efficient HR processes, tools, and programs to proactively facilitate and support the overall employee experience (from onboarding to offboarding).
· Ensure the effective delivery of innovative solutions for the workforce including succession planning, leadership and organizational development, training, performance management, talent acquisition and employee relations.
· Collaborate with core leadership team to create a high-performance, continuous improvement culture, with a keen focus on bolstering employee and organizational growth, development, and effectiveness.
· Partner with the core leadership team to provide thought leadership and direction. Serve as advisor, consultant, and coach to managers and employees to engage and retain a motivated workforce across the business.
· Manage and develop a diverse team of human resources professionals to ensure the highest level of performance and ensure the service and delivery of HR programs and processes aligned with standards of excellence, leveraging automated systems and data analytics.
· Ensure the effective and cost-efficient management and administration of day-to-day HR activities and tasks – from recruitment, payroll processing, performance management, compensation & benefits administration, employee & labor relations, compliance with employment laws, company policies and procedures.
· Designing and driving shared service models, including the outsourcing of transactional activities; skilled in process mapping, defining SLAs, and managing vendor performance through KPIs.
· Specialized expertise in global compensation and benefits harmonization, with experience leading initiatives in Germany and China, and strong knowledge of U.S. benefit structures aligned to broader people strategies.
· Proven expertise in leading organizational change and large-scale transformations, applying recognized change management methodologies that resonate from executive leadership through to frontline employees across global, culturally diverse sites.
· Extensive leadership in scoping, identifying, selecting, and implementing HRIS platforms on a global scale, with strong focus on payroll integration and process harmonization.
· Demonstrated success navigating HR within private equity–backed organizations, with cultural agility to adapt to diverse organizational dynamics.
· Strong commitment to upskilling HR teams, enhancing HR Business Partner capabilities, and ensuring HR is recognized as a trusted strategic partner to the business.
Candidate Specifications:
· Minimum of fifteen years of global and progressive human resources experience with at least eight years in management of a global human resources function.
· Ideally from an Industrial Manufacturing Business.
· Comprehensive knowledge of employment and HR laws, regulations and administration in the APAC, Americas, and Europe.
· Must have experience working in a complex, global diversified industrial environment.
· Experience in managing multi-site HR teams dispersed globally.
· Prior labor/union/works council and employee relations experience needed.
· Prior experience working for a publicly traded company a definite plus.
· Experience in working for a US owned business.
· Credible HR Leader who can demonstrate what Excellent HR Looks like and instil it into the business framework.
· Prior mergers and acquisition (M&A) experience required.
· Knows how to effectively align HR goals & objectives with the company’s vision and strategy, promoting/fostering a culture of transparency and collaboration to support organizational effectiveness, high-performance and success.
· Demonstrated ability to be an effective business partner assisting the core leadership team (CLT) with people and productivity strategies that support the growth of the business, capitalize on business opportunities, and generate ROI – Top Line, Bottom Line and Pipeline value/results.
· Highly professional and ethical, with unquestioned integrity.
· Strong competencies in leadership, strategic thinking, emotional intelligence, business acumen, project management and organizational astuteness. Able to present information to senior leadership with demonstrated confidence, conviction, and persuasion.
· Tactical solution provider and problem solver.
· Strong business acumen – understanding of P&L, commercial and Operational Strategies.
· A change champion – able to lead a change management HR program, through integration and rationalisation.
· Forward thinking mindset with a strong “say-do-ratio” and track record of delivering on commitments, in concert with our values. Continuous improvement and solutions orientation (i.e. demonstrated problem solving capabilities).
· Must have a data driven mindset and demonstrated ability of using data and analytics to facilitate better business/talent management/HR decision-making to drive impactful business and organizational outcomes. Effective at delivering work products that are thorough, quality, and appropriate for the audience to drive meaningful discussions and outcomes.
· Demonstrated success in orchestrating organizational development and effectiveness through robust communications & talent management systems driving change through employee and team empowerment in an inclusive and engaging work environment.
· Must be able to effectively navigate and function in a matrix environment.
· 35% – 40% global travel is required.
Education Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree required in business, human resources management or other related discipline.
· MBA or advanced degree preferred
