Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Role Overview:
Working with all aspects of design, relating to production, procurement, service support and technical documentation of mechanical systems, within ‘Hydrogen Energy’ solutions. It will be your responsibility to ensure all equipment designed is done so to the highest levels of safety and quality standards and on time within the project plan.
Responsibilities:
- Design of Hydrogen based equipment including refuelers, fuel storage and installations.
- Complete supporting calculations which will include, flow, pressure, structural, heat transfer calculations and FEA.
- 3D CAD Design.
- Working with controls and electrical engineers to support the complete system design.
- Preparation of part specifications and the procurement of parts.
- Preparation of Technical file documentation and O&M manuals.
- Ensure that the H&S, quality and environmental procedures are followed.
- Maintain the project PED and HAZOP documentation.
Success Measures:
- Completed mechanical design projects, with associated documentation and CAD models.
- Cost and schedule compliant designs.
Desired Experience:
- · Educated with a master’s degree within a relevant mechanical engineering discipline, (structural design, machine design, pressure vessels or fluid dynamics as examples).
- Proven experience within mechanical engineering (construction or civil engineering).
- Experience with metal work and pipework (hands-on manufacturing experience).
- CAD proficiency in 3D and 2D.
- Autodesk inventor 3D proficiency.
- 2D drawing proficiency (standards, dimensioning and materials).
- Mechanical engineering design experience: structural and pressure vessels.
- Structural and pressure vessel regulations knowledge.
- Materials and manufacturing knowledge.
- Ability to intemperate P&ID.
- Working knowledge of quality standards, regulations and regulatory bodies.
- Fault find and supply solutions to engineer faults.
- Small bore piping and pipe bending knowledge is essential.

- Logical thinker with pro-active mindset.
- Great initiative.
- Strong Communication skills both verbal and written.
- Experience with DSEAR would be advantageous.
