Based in Denmark

The Client:

We have been retained by one of Europe’s leading polymer distributors, to appoint an experienced and highly driven sales professional to manage ‘local’ sales for their polymers business in Denmark.  They have strong relationships with some of the most prominent producers and have experienced unprecedented growth since the Nordic sales office was established eight years ago.  We are looking for an experienced individual looking to secure a long-term future with one of Europe’s leading players.

 

The Role:

  • Maintain ‘local’ sales across in Denmark and expand the existing business for this area
  • Develop new sales opportunities for a full range of polymer materials
  • Ensure sales targets are achieved
  • Maintain profitable growth and develop sales in line with budget and strategy
  • Visit existing and new customers on a regular basis
  • Negotiate prices/contracts
  • Offer technical advice according to ability and experience and liaise with back-office staff as appropriate
  • Prepare area sales statistics, report and present this information internally

Candidate Profile:

  • The ideal candidate will need to have extensive knowledge and sales experience of polymer materials that are supplied into injection molders
  • Candidates working for an injection molding, masterbatch, compounding or polymer recycling company, who are interested in pursuing a sales career with a market leading distributor are also encouraged to apply
  • Proven sales record and the ability to manage existing business but also identify and drive growth opportunities
  • Strong technical background in polymers from distribution or plastics background
  • Strong customer focus – knowledge of the Danish plastics processor market
  • A hunter personality, self-disciplined and highly motivated
  • Good communication skills both written and orally
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Team player

This role is ideal for an experienced technical sales manager and/or product manager who is knowledgeable in polymers/plastic injection molding and wants to work in a positive/team-oriented organisation that values its employees.
