Their Polymers & Fluids segment was built on innovation and a commitment to providing high-quality, branded products to diverse end markets. Businesses in this segment produce a variety of products for general industry (MRO), automotive aftermarket, aerospace, construction, energy and automotive OE customers.

Job Purpose:

The scope of the role of Product Manager is to play a key role in transforming the function from a highly operational product management remit to one directly responsible for driving and directing strategic, customer-centric growth across Fluids

• To establish Product Management as a business-critical function within the organisation, leveraging high-quality processes, outside-in intelligence/data, and a culture of continuous improvement to influence change and progress
• To drive the company’s growth agenda, designing and implementing customer-centric segment/product strategies and roadmaps in line with the division’s overall strategy and objectives
• To guide and direct the commercial organisation to maximise profitable growth opportunities and market share capture on existing products
• To take ownership for delivering a dynamic and impactful CBI/NPD pipeline as a key growth lever for the organisation
• To fulfil the day-to-day product line management operational duties to maintain a strong and compliant segment portfolio

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Education:

• BS in Business Management, Marketing or Chemistry, or equivalent applicable experience. MBA preferred
• Significant B2B product marketing and/or technical sales experience with a proven track record of delivering sustained and profitable growth
• A strong understanding of industrial maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) applications
• Must have a passion for product ownership and business development
• Influencing skills and ability to persuade both internally and externally
• Partnering and collaboration skills: working closely with Sales, Technical, Operations and Marketing, both locally and internationally to enable successful delivery of the strategy
• Must possess and demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have a proven track record of thriving in a team environment
• Ability to deliver results through exceptional project management skills and natural leadership capabilities
• Strong computer proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and any mainstream CRM system, with the ability to learn to use new systems and tools quickly and effectively
• An entrepreneurial mind-set with good business management skills, financial planning capability, marketing skills and the desire to develop strategic thinking
• Fluent written and verbal proficiency in English is required,

Desirable:

• Additional field sales experience would be considered an advantage
• B2B and industrial channel experience is preferred
• Fluent written and spoken European language, dependent on territory location
