A leading international manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead the people agenda at its Croatian production site.

The role works closely with the site leadership team while connecting the Croatian operation with the wider European HR function. As a trusted HR business partner, the successful candidate will support organisational development, workforce planning and operational performance while ensuring corporate HR policies and processes are effectively implemented at site level. A key priority will be strengthening employee engagement and retention within the manufacturing environment.

Working closely with the European HR leadership team, the role will also contribute to wider regional HR initiatives, systems and projects. The HR Manager will manage and mentor an HR Generalist and ensure HR services are delivered efficiently across the site.

 

Key Responsibilities:

· Act as the primary HR partner to the site leadership team
· Support workforce planning, organisational development and people strategy
· Lead initiatives focused on employee engagement and retention
· Ensure HR policies and procedures are implemented in line with corporate standards and local legislation
· Manage and develop a local HR Generalist
· Provide HR support to a smaller business outside of Croatia
· Collaborate with the European HR team on regional HR projects and initiatives

 

Candidate Profile:

We are seeking a collaborative and forward-thinking HR professional with experience operating in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

 

Key requirements include:

· Proven HR leadership or HR business partnering experience within manufacturing or industrial sectors
· Strong experience working with operational leadership teams
· Ability to implement corporate HR policies in a site-based environment
· Knowledge of Croatian labour legislation (Bosnian knowledge advantageous)
· Experience working within international or matrix organisations
· Fluent Croatian and strong English language skills
