Listgrove is pleased to be partnering Novelplast in their search for a dynamic and experienced Procurement Manager to join their team and drive the businesses supply chain strategy.
Novelplast is a leading PET recycling company dedicated to sustainable environmental practices and innovative recycling solutions. Their mission is to transform post-consumer and post-industrial PET (polyethylene terephthalate) waste into valuable resources, contributing to a circular economy.
The Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing the procurement process of PET waste and other materials, ensuring a consistent and cost-effective supply of raw materials for the recycling operations. The role involves developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, planning raw material requirements for production sites, and implementing procurement strategies that align with the company’s sustainability goals.
After a short period of initial settling in and training based on site in Ireland, this hybrid role allows for a mix of remote/home working (from anywhere within Europe), and on-site work, where the individual will be expected to spend approximately 1 week a month on site, maintaining essential in-person collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

Supplier Management:

· Identify and develop relationships with suppliers of PET waste materials.
· Evaluate and monitor supplier performance to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
· Conduct regular supplier audits and assessments to maintain compliance with company standards.

Procurement Strategy:

· Develop and implement procurement strategies to secure a consistent supply of high-quality PET waste materials.
· Analyze market trends and conditions to anticipate supply challenges and opportunities.
· Collaborate with the operations team to forecast material requirements and align procurement plans.

Contract Negotiation:

· Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
· Ensure contracts are aligned with legal and regulatory requirements.
· Manage contract renewals and amendments as needed.

Cost Management:

· Monitor and manage procurement budgets to achieve cost savings and efficiency.
· Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
· Implement best practices in procurement to optimize spending.
Sustainability and Compliance:
· Ensure procurement practices align with the company’s sustainability goals and environmental policies.
· Maintain compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
· Promote sustainable sourcing practices within the supply chain.

Raw Material Planning:

· Collaborate with production sites to plan and coordinate the supply of raw materials.
· Develop and maintain a raw material inventory management system.
· Ensure timely delivery of raw materials to production sites to avoid disruptions.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

· Work closely with the operations, finance, and quality control teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
· Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to address procurement-related issues.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the plastic recycling industry. Other material & industry knowledge will be considered.
· Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
· Knowledge of PET recycling processes and market dynamics is a plus.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid work environment.
