Role Overview:

The Sales Engineer PU is responsible for all commercial activities for the segment, including developing new sales and finding new suppliers, for the Polyurethane market.

Responsibilities:

  • Primary responsibility for selling polyurethane elastomers, as well as additional products within the plastics portfolio, including bonding and release agents.
  • Supply customers with high-quality and innovative products, finding solutions for customers by utilizing the possibilities within the large product range and guiding new developments with expert advice.
  • Supports developments in other markets, like cleaning and water treatment. In cooperation with the market managers.
  • Customer contact and visits, as well as being the primary contact for technical support, application development and product introductions. Therefore, is focused on technical sales rather than purely commercial sales.
  • Developing relationships with the purchasers of the customers.
  • The business is committed to digital transformation and is increasingly doing so through the promotion of products on the internet. In this position, the employee is also expected to have a role in supporting the setting up of digital campaigns. In most markets, developments are now focused on sustainability.
  • The role offers a lot of freedom for (personal) development and combined with the wider group, there are several options for further growth within the role.

 

Candidate Profile:

  • Chemical or technical Bachelor level/education (or Lower level with experience)
  • Experience of either selling or of the chemistry of Polyurethane systems and technology
  • Interest in using the technical knowledge commercially
  • Affinity in chemistry or related field
  • Sales experience in B2B or industrial markets is a bonus
  • Willingness to regularly travel around Benelux region (car)
