The client:

We are working for a packaging company who provide a wide and unique range of rigid food packaging. Proud of their reputation for offering exceptional service from their manufacturing partners around Europe selling primarily into the UK retail food market. Consisting of a team of dedicated engineers with a wide range of experience in both packaging and food technology. Focused on customer service, they have been offering sales, design and technical support to this market sector for over 20 years. As part of a recent expansion program they are now offering their customers both plastic, cardboard and hybrid packaging solutions to meet the latest trends in the industry.

Key responsibilities include:

⦁ Play a key role in all the strategic aims of the business
Generate, maintain and service accounts in the UK ensuring high customer satisfaction and healthy long term relationships, undertaking travel as necessary
⦁ Develop a healthy and growing pipeline by generating new customers and new product sales across existing customers
⦁ Drive the achievement of sales forecasts against planned targets and take remedial actions to achieve targets
⦁ Efficiently resolve customer issues and questions by investigating problems, developing solutions, involving relevant parties and making appropriate recommendations
⦁ Create and build on an excellent relationship with the key suppliers and help to establish new suppliers to expand the product range.
⦁ Need to be involved in all the varied aspects of the ongoing customer supplier relationship and resolve any questions which arise i.e., delivery questions, pricing, audits, packaging specs
⦁ Plan for and attend relevant industry trade shows and follow up on actions on a timely basis

Your profile:

⦁ Good technical Background – both Plastic Injection Moulding/Thermoforming and Cardboard Box Manufacturing and Printing.
⦁ Strong commercial skills and an ability to identify new business opportunities with the drive to push them through to fruition
⦁ Able to demonstrate self-motivation; possessing real drive and determination to succeed
⦁ Highly innovative and creative but also be willing to still be hands on to drive projects forward
⦁ High integrity, openness and accountability
⦁ Commercially astute and Customer focused
⦁ Enjoys Customer interaction and has the necessary interpersonal skills to engage with customers at all levels
⦁ Sense of urgency, drive and determination to drive projects to completion
⦁ Excellent team player flexible and adaptable
⦁ Self-starter with ability to work under own initiative; confident at all levels of seniority
⦁ Good organisational skills
⦁ Team player and personal integrity to work closely in a small intimate team
