As part of the Innovation and Development team in Plymouth the role will be reporting to the Technologist Team Leader, the primary objective of this role is to maintain existing formulations and product approvals, and to assist in problem solving for manufacturing processes.

This role is considered a development role and due to the specialised nature of this role a structured framework of development will be provided to ensure that the capability/skillset is developed and maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain technical approvals required for the sales of our products eg VG qualification
  • Maintain the documentation for materials to ensure that it is kept current and accurate.
  • Test materials and product to customer specifications and prepare reports to feedback results and conclusions.
  • With support design and formulate materials to maximise properties and comply with health & safety legislation.
  • With support provide technical support as required by production.
  • With support develop, collate and maintain material change documentation as a way of developing knowledge of HellermannTyton materials.
  • Take an active responsibility for own growth and development by attending training required, requesting training to help with own development, reading and researching current information relevant to the role.
    To play an active role in process improvement and the implementation of change.
  • Provide adhoc support within the business towards ensuring company objectives are achieved.
