The Client:
Part of a larger group established in the 1960s, our client manufactures masterbatch and pigments into none textile industries.
Backed by an extensive distribution network, central marketing facilities help drive global business opportunities, with localised commercial experts on hand to assist customers, supported by group wide technical assistance.
The company enjoys a market share worth +$30 Mil in the US, with $3 Mil being achieved in masterbatch sales for polymers.
The Role:
The ambition is to achieve sales of $10 Mil in the US masterbatch market within three years; To achieve this, the company seeks a sales expert who has strong connections with the US polymer sector. The successful candidate will play a key part in developing the sales strategy, taking a lead in its implementation and delivery of sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:
· Sales growth at existing and new customers with current and new products.
· Ensure contribution to business results by proper price and volume management.
· Acquisition and conversion of new leads, ensuring these are developed into customers.
· Visits with customers to discuss technical and commercial needs.
· Development and implementation of sales plans.
· Participate in regional/country wide events – trade shows, seminars etc.
· Feed competitive information into group marketing.
· Managing the complete sales process.
· Reporting and keeping systems up to date (CRM, S & OP)
· Identify and build sound relations with customers and through indirect sales channels (agencies and distributors).
· National business trips as required.
Candidate Profile:
· Establishing customer needs by active listening and questioning.
· Pro-active in keeping up to date with company products and applications.
· Ability to communicate with all stakeholders including technical teams and group marketing.
· Active in understanding market dynamics and trends, anticipating and acting on them in a timely manner.
· Be accountable for setting challenging goals, developing plans and ensure proper execution.
· A relevant technical qualification would be an advantage, but is not essential.
· Proven experience in the relevant none textile market segment (Masterbatch, Pigments, Additives, Polymers)
· Strong teamwork ethic.
· Ability to work on own initiative and autonomously.
· Confident in the use of IT systems (Microsoft Office and digital sales; video calling, webinars, social media)
