Remit:

• Great opportunity for a skilled Injection Moulding Setter to join a forward-thinking company at their modern facility during a period of sustained business growth
• This position will suit a skilled Mould Setter / Technician with strong injection moulding processing and machinery knowledge
• The successful candidate will have extensive opportunities for further training and development through Sierra 57’s onsite Mould Training Division

 

Role:

• In the role of Injection Moulding Setter you will provide tool change support and maintenance cover for key machines
• As Injection Moulding Setter you will ensure mould changes are carried out to a high standard in line with manufacturing specifications in a timely manner
• Working closely with the leadership team to improve reliability and productivity of machines and equipment
• Carrying out planned and low level maintenance work in a safe and timely manner
• Assisting and supporting in the carrying out of production improvement projects
• Carrying out tool changes to ensure maximum availability of machines
• Ensure facilities upkeep is maintained
• Overseeing the operation of plastic injection moulding machines in the absence of the plant supervisor
• Assist with the training of new operators

 

Experience Requirements:

• Industry recognized injection moulding qualifications
• Experience carrying out full tool changes and setting up production machines
• Solid understanding of plastic injection moulding processes and automation
• Experience of working with and carrying out basic preventative maintenance on injection moulding machinery
• Good problem solving skills
• Ability to work effectively to own initiative
