Position Purpose:
The role is accountable for ensuring the business and sites are equipped with the digital process and manufacturing technology capacities and competencies to meet the business challenges of today and tomorrow
Key Accountabilities:
- Build centre of expertise for the company’s specific processes and manufacturing digital technologies
- Lead delivery of diverse process control engineering systems in line with best manufacturing standards (trouble shooting, PID loops, Advanced Process Control, …)
- Contribute to the Process & Manufacturing Technology strategy definition, in particular by building and updating the Digital roadmap for Industrial
- Be the industrial Single Point of Contact (Business Process Owner) for coordination with ICT Operations for Manufacturing topics – SAP manufacturing – MES & connected applications
- Support and facilitate interactions between Operations and ICT during MES/ERP/digitalisation projects in order to meet expectations in terms of solution, time and cost
- Is accountable for standardisation of tools and best practices for digital manufacturing within the business
- Facilitate implementation and sustainability of process control related continuous improvement initiatives
- Coaches site-based teams in effective application of key operating disciplines to continuously improve manufacturing process performance thanks to digitalisation
- Support the Process & Manufacturing Innovation process, assessing the manufacturing technology needs through either new or existing digital manufacturing capabilities

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Systems, Process Engineering or related Engineering field required
Required Experience:
- Significant experience (10 years +) in a chemical manufacturing environment
- Significant experience as Process Engineer / Production Engineer / Manufacturing systems Engineer / Automation / APC Engineer
- Strong engineering project management background
- Strong process engineering and process safety background
- Working knowledge P&IDs and PFDs, control valve system calculation, loop control calculation and diagnosis
- Working knowledge in ERP manufacturing processes (SAP PP) and associated applications
- Working knowledge in SCADA/MES and associated applications
- Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control techniques
- Basic financial knowledge (project ROI)

- Experience with Microsoft Office tools (SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Experience with MES and APC tools
- Shows critical and creative thinking and problem solving
Languages:
- Required English fluent
- Desirable German, French
