The Company:

Our client is part of a long-standing global leader in the development and implementation of process technologies, with a focus on innovation that has resulted in more than 150 technologies and 4,100 patents and patent applications. This role involves working withing their polymers business unit that specializes in providing sustainable licensing and catalyst solutions for LDPE, HDPE and EVA technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

· Responsible for all sales awards in the polymers Business Unit worldwide
· Manage the polymer technology sales teams (8 people plus some dotted line responsibility into the Middle East and India) including related products (catalysts, digital, services) in various locations.
· Analyse markets, gather competitive intelligence and propose sales strategies to achieve the area set awards and revenue targets
· Identify and acquire resources necessary to implement strategies
· Coordinate proposal win strategies and bid reviews to prepare technical and commercial offers
· Cooperate with Technology Management to optimize and improve the product portfolio within the polymers business
· Participate on the team in the acquisition of new technologies

Qualifications:

· Chemist or Chemical Engineer with professional experience and in-depth know-how in the field of petrochemical technologies and the corresponding markets

Candidate Profile:

· Strong background in licensing chemical/polymer technology and associated catalysts
· Previous managerial roles with revenue and profit responsibility in international organizations
· Setting and implementing sales targets with a team of international sales executives and their teams
· Know-how in polymer/polyolefins, catalyst or fine chemicals business, combined with excellent product and market knowledge
· Experience in IP driven sales and customer service or key account management on an international level in related areas
· Has worked in petrochemicals plant projects execution and understands the complexity of high investment unit economics
· Experience with international co-operations and complex contract negotiations
· Used to work with internal and external legal entities, project development teams and understands the particularities of the dynamics in different regions
· Leader with a clear understanding of the polymer market and related consumables
· Entrepreneurial thinking and a high degree of market and customer orientation, as well as communication skills
· Feels comfortable and is experienced in dealing with different cultures to lead a team of high-performing sales executives
· Ability to think and act in a network of experts
· Assumes the role of advisor to customers
