As part of the company’s dedication to a better future, they are seeking the recruitment of a packaging specialist who can lead the agenda around sustainability.

Primary role:

As the (Senior) Packaging Sustainability & Capabilities Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing sustainable packaging strategies for the company and building future capabilities. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and implement sustainable packaging practices throughout their product lines, promoting ways to work smarter, and unlock technology to accelerate the Innovation journey.

This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, product development, manufacturing and supply chain to deliver packaging solutions that meet customer needs, business objectives, and sustainability goals.

In addition to Sustainability, the role will be responsible for our R&I Packaging Lab and new Design studio in Utrecht, investments made to enhance our capabilities and ensure leadership in Packaging R&I.

Candidate Profile:

· Degree in Environmental Science, Materials Science, Packaging or a related field.
· Minimum of 7 years of experience in sustainable packaging or related roles.
· Deep understanding of sustainable packaging principles, best practices and industry trends.
· Strong knowledge of packaging materials, recycling processes, and circular economy principles.
· Proven track record in successfully implementing sustainable packaging initiatives.
· Excellent project management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute multiple projects simultaneously.
· Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
