The Client:

An innovative, recycled plastics compounder and part of an international chemical group. The business manufacturer high-quality technical plastic grinds and granulates and provides solutions for new sustainability concepts.
Mapping the entire value chain, from the raw material to the finished compound, with a portfolio largely consists of engineering plastics, supplying customers in the automotive, furniture, electrical, construction and machine industries.

The Role:

· Responsible for the technical development of the product portfolio
· Personnel and technical responsibility for the development and laboratory area
· Development of new compound formulations, in cooperation based on requirements of Sales and Production
· Provision of product proposals for new customer requests in alignment with Sales
· Technical support for new sales projects
· Supporting production with regard to raw material selection and recipe optimization
· Evaluation and approval of new additives and raw materials
· Preparation of technical product information for marketing / communication purposes

Candidate Profile:

· Completed studies in chemistry, plastics technology or comparable training
· More than 2 years of experience in the development and (alternatively or) processing of thermoplastic compounds
· Full professional proficiency in German and good written and spoken English skills
· Hands-on approach, with strong operative focus
· Analytical and conceptual thinking and independent and structured way of working
· First proven people management experience would be an advantage
